About
A warm, woody, slightly sweet oil with calming and grounding properties. Particularly effective for respiratory support, dry skin and scalp conditions, and emotional grounding in massage. Atlas cedarwood is preferred over Virginian for therapeutic use.
One of the oldest used aromatics, cedarwood resin was used by the ancient Egyptians for embalming and by Mesopotamian civilisations in temple rituals. Atlas cedarwood from Morocco is distilled from the Atlas Mountains and is considered the superior therapeutic variety.
